This page presents some frequently asked questions (FAQ) and answers concerning the Premium-Partner-Program (P3) of Knipp. Besides the information offered here, we have a number of other FAQs that deal with further topics, like the domain system in general, for example. General issues

  • Which top level domains are included in P3?
    P3 includes all domains that you can directly register as normal end customer.


  • How high is the discount the P3-participant receives?
    The discounts are named in the contracts and understandably cannot be made public here.


  • Is there a discount, if the partner runs the name servers by himself?
    Certainly the partner can and may run the name servers partly or completely by himself. There is no discount, however.


  • Which conditions do I have to fulfill in order to become a P3-participant?
    You have to register a minimum number of domains in the first year. Domains taken over from other registrars do count for this criterion. The minimum quantity is relatively small and no real obstacle for professionals, be they resellers or key accounts.


  • How does the payment work?
    You will retrospectively receive a clearly structured monthly bill from us. You do not need to settle a bill after a single domain has been registered. You also do not need to pay in advance, like with a payment on an account. There only has to be an agreement on a method of payment, either a direct debit authorization or a credit card payment.


  • Can a company from abroad become a P3-participant?
    Yes, but the language of contract will be german.


  • How can I become a P3-participant?
    The procedure is absolutely simple:
    • Simply make an online application. We will then send you the contract as PDF.
    • Sign the contract, and send it back to us via postal mail.
    • You will reveive your access data via e-mail.
    This usually takes three working days.


Reseller

  • Does Knipp get directly into contact with the partners´ clients?
    No; the customer is »owned« by the partner. Customer protection is understood. Even the bills go to the partner, and not to the customer. The cases in which signatures are required on particular forms (sometimes necessary for ccTLDs, for instance), these forms are designed as neutral as possible, i.e. without any hints on Knipp.
