Compared to 1.98 million .ch domains (as of January 2016),
63,000 .li registrations look like a rather small number. But if put in relation
to the population (8.3 million in Switzerland and 36,000 in Liechtenstein),
the principality has by far a better registration rate: with about 1.8 domains
per inhabitant it is more than seven times as high as that of Switzerland
(and also clearly higher than in most other countries)!
The reason why we present information about .ch and .li together is that the
Swiss foundation SWITCH
serves as registry for both ccTLDs.
