Registrations
You can order domains easily by using our
web interface
if you are a registered customer of
Knipp. Registering is
easy and can be done in just a few steps.
Another possiblity is to order domains via
e-mail application form
The e-mail registration has the advantage that it can be done automatically.
Many customers use robots on their web site that send e-mail application forms to us.
However, using these forms is suited for experts only, since they contain quite a
few technical terms, which are unfortunately necessary. We have prepared a page
with explanations which will help
you to complete the form.

| Special rulings for .us domains
The
name servers
for .us domains have to be located in the United States of America.
If you do not have the possibility to operate name servers in the USA,
we can provide you with the name service of a US-American company associated
with Knipp. No additional fees will be charged for this service.
For details, please refer to the help
page for the e-mail template.
Rules of allocation
Intended for citizens of the United States of America and foreigners
associated to the United States of America.
Companies, authorities, associations, and natural persons are
allowed to register as many domains as they wish.
During the registration process you have to assign yourself to a user group.
The registration of the domain may be canceled if the specifications you
make are incorrect. Random tests are carried out to verify the data.
The registration terms and the classification of groups is called
nexus rules.
The user group is divided into three different categories:
-
The domain holder is citizen of the United states of America or has a permanent
residence in the United States of America,
-
the domain holder is a company registered in the United States of America,
-
the domain holder demonstrably transacts business within the United States
of America and/or can provide a subsidiary or an office located in the United
States of America.
The third category provides a large scope of interpretation.
Therefore we suggesst you have a look at the official regulations, especially
the pages 3 and 4 of the
nexus rules.
